Who are we?
The British Pump Manufacturers' Association Ltd (BPMA) is a trade association representing the interests of UK and Irish suppliers of liquid pumps and pumping equipment.
What is e-Learning and how will it help me progress my career?
We offer two world-class e-Learning courses that can be taken individually or if taken alongside other BPMA training that will help raise the knowledge and awareness of students on the technical issues of pumping.

These courses, approved by Ofqual, the regulator of qualifications, examinations and assessments, are accredited and quality controlled by the National Open College Network (NOCN)
They are offered in accordance with the UK Qualifications and Credit Framework (RQF).
An NOCN certificate will be awarded upon successful course completion.
The certificate only records a pass. Therefore, the BPMA issues an additional certificate that will show the grading of Pass, Credit or Distinction

Introduction to Pumping Technology Level Two (RQF)
This provides standardised terminology and a very basic approach to the various pump types. It is targetted at all employees who need to know the language of the pump industry.
Essentials of Pumping Technology Level Four (RQF)
For those students who have day-to-day involvement with pumps and pumping systems, this course aims to provide the knowledge needed to cover normal situations. Likely candidates are all personnel who manage or are involved in designing, specifying, sourcing, installing, servicing and maintaining pumping equipment.
- Both courses use the metric system of measurement and internationally recognised terminology.
- The coverage is comprehensive
- It is not intended to cover in-depth specialist subjects such as impeller design, stress analysis etc.
